Rayman Raving Rabbids - Play It? |
Gogh and I have been playing through the first Raving Rabbids on and off for the last year or so and we finally finished it. It's an interesting game. While the multiplayer is the pits out of the box (everything has to be unlocked), we had a lot of fun handing the controller back and forth in the single player story mode.
For those that don't know, the game is just a bunch of fairly average mini games. I wrote some pre-release impressions of the game for NWR. They actually still hold up pretty well and describe some of the mini games. Most of them are fun. Some of them are quite frustrating. None of them are that memorable.
The rabbids themselves make the game though. There is so much charm in their zaniness that you can't help but laugh while you play. Some of the marketing videos of the rabbids are arguably better than the game itself.
Overall, this is the type of game you should keep an eye out for in bargain and used bins at your favorite stores. If you can pick it up for ten dollars or less, you'll most likely be happy with your purchase.
