Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - Play It?
Apparently it was a Square Enix week for me, as along with Final Fantasy XII, I also finished (more or less) Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker for DS. This post will be briefer than my FF XII one though, as I have a full review going up over at NWR that is currently in editing. (And now it's up!)

Anyway, I never really finished Joker. I made it to the very end boss and realized that I would need to grind out more levels on my team for hours and hours in order to defeat him. That was the last straw. I had already put myself through so much grinding just to get that far.

That's what it comes down to. About seven hours of story are spread out into 35 hours of gameplay by forcing ridiculous amounts of level grinding on the player. If I wanted to do the same thing over and over again, I'd go back to playing Final Fantasy XI. Take it from me, this game is not worth playing. If you want to collect monsters, play Pokemon instead. If you've already played Pokemon, play more Pokemon instead.
